Festive Outfit : Option 2 - Bhaidooj

Happy Diwali guys!!!!! Hope y'all are having a great time. I am thrilled to receive the amazing response on my last post, published just yesterday, showing a Diwali outfit, and I can't thank y'all enough for the love you've showered. One of the most viewed posts in less than 20 hours, it's stupendous!

Well, I've just got done with the 'maha pujan' at my place and as promised I am sharing the second festive option (for Bhaidooj) with all you lovely readers. The entire Diwali series, starting from Dhanteras till Bhaidooj is a gala affair and it's so much fun selecting your favorite attires for each day.

For bhaidooj, I thought of dressing up a bit extravagant this year but with a simple kurta paired with churidar, the best way to go about looking absolutely graceful and traditional at the same time. Scroll down to read all details of this regal look for the high-spirited season..

kurta, footwear : Sarojini Market, Delhi | leggings : FBB | Dupatta : Local market, Lucknow
bangles : The Trinket Shop | earrings : Sarojini Market

Festivals give us a chance to dress in traditional silhouettes and make heads turn wherever we step into. This time I picked a simple, color block maxi kurta in chiffon fabric with karshmiri embroidery in blue + white + yellow (bought for Rs.200), and chose to pair it with a yellow churidar pajama. Adding some authentic Indianness, I threw up a silk dupatta in red with gold emboss print that complimented the bright hues of the kurta and churidar. Dupattas enhance the beauty of all ladies instantly, trust me! Moving further, I chose to accessorise the look with traditional metallic jhumkas (bought for Rs.50) in my ears, with silver metal bangles in my hands to give a mystique touch; and ditching heels this time, I added a pair of white bow flats (bought for Rs.100) with wooden beads, that look pretty fashionable.

Adding some more magic on my face, my MUA - Simran Taneja gave me a glam look with golden eyes, heavy mascara and white waterline with a hint of bronze on the sides. Deep contouring and gold blush with deep red lips and soft curls made me look even more enchanting, and yes, I feel like falling in love with myself all over again!

Finding the right cuts to don, and mixing-matching colors and prints in the hustle bustle of festivities looks like a task, but then I'm always here to help you flaunt your best styles for the same reason, making it simple for you to pick your attires for all occasions. I hope you liked this look and if you did, do let me know in the comments below! Until next, lots of love and best wishes. Enjoy!!!!
